City Building

There are many ways to build your cities and many types of cities.
My first city is always a "Troop City" where I maximiise Barracks.
Second city is usually a "Resource City" its a more mixed city than my first.
Third city is "Troop Holder" preferably a captured LvL10 NPC
Fourth city is a "Resource Bank" this must have full wall defences and scouts.
Fifth I repeat al of above starting with "Troop City" often in a new area.
Ninth is usually my last city. Why because I like to retain abilty to take cities and make NPC's.
Tenth City only acquired to complete Quest then abandoned or given away.

Troop City

This is your basic city most players learn this build first.
Goal is to produce troops fast.
My preference is for 9 Cottages but many have a few as 6 Cottages in a Troop City.
Recommend a minimum of 11 Barracks right from start 12 if you do not keep a Wharehouse.
Why I keep a Wharehouse set to 100% food is so I can comfort a city with this cannot be taken if you are online.
It is recommended that you start with a lot of Sawmills or Mines but switch to Farms to feed troops as you grow.
You can build more Barracks by removing Wharehouse, Forge, Workshop, Inn and Feast Hall.
Techs that should be learned first those after basics are those that increase troop production.
Must have a high LvL attack hero to speed up troop production.

Resource City

Before you make a Resource City I recommend having a Troop City.
Goal is to produce resources fast and in quantity.
For this type of city you build wall defences as strong and fast as possible.
Troops should only be built here to replace losses rest should come from Troop City as reinforcements.
Start with 11 Cottages and 9 Barracks but replace 3 Barracks with Cottages as you develope.
In "City" do a mixof resource fields, but mainly sawmills and mines as these are the most sort after resources.
Build a high level Market early.
Keep at least 1 Wharehouse, Forge, Workshop, Inn and Feat Hall can be replaces with Wharehouses or Cottages.

Troop Holder

For this city I reccomend capturing a LvL10 NPC as its near perfect.
Goal to hold huge army without riots, so you MUST max food production.
LvL10 NPC city has ALL LvL10 farms except for 1Sawmill,1Quarry and 1 Mine , these can be dismantled and replaced with more farms. Personally I like to keep Sawmill and Mine for minimum troop building to replace losses, but Quarry is not needed.
There's is only 1 of EVERYTHING including Barracks in a LvL10, apart from Cottages that make up rest these are ALL lvl10.
Capturing 10XLvL10 Lakes is reccomended as these give greatest bonus to food production.
You will need Balli and Trans to Farm LvL5 Farms to keep a "Huge" army even with food production maxed.
Walls should be maxed and troops sent to reinforce from Troop Builder to be held until needed.

Resource Bank

Goal to store resources as safely as possible.
This city is last type I build as it is hard to make a plunder proof city without troops and resources.
Similar to Troop Holder you will need to max food production to feed troops that reinforce this city.
You will not need more than 9-6 Barracks to replace troop losses fast. You will need cottages min 9 resources production.
Your "City" should be almost all Farms but with enough Sawmills and Mines and Quarries to replace losses fast.
Begin by building 3-4 Wharehouses and max these as soon as possible. Build more as you are able by replacing Forge, Workshop, Inn.
Also Max wall defences as soon as possible. Defence is key to this cities success or failure.
You will want min 100k scouts to stop scouting, reccomend 200k+. Gates sgould be open at al times.
Market should be maxed as soon as possible.
Embassy should be maxed as soon as possible.
Cavalry and Transporter are also recommended for this city.
Also strong defence troops such as sword,pikes,archers,cats, balli and pults. Also min100k war to act as a meat shield.
